Port of Venice services

The wonderful romantic city of Venice is renowned for its canals, with the Grand Canal being the most famous. In addition, the city boasts 177 smaller canals, which dissect the city. Ferries depart from the Port of Venice to destinations in Croatia and Greece.

The Passeggeri Ferry Terminal links Venice to the mainland at the Ponte della Liberta Bridge's exit. At the new and modern Venice Marittima Ferry Port Terminal, you will find extensive passenger facilities such as shops, restaurants, efficient check-in desks and other services.

One of the port's oldest buildings houses the Terminal S Marta and provides modern facilities including shops, cafés and other public conveniences. Vessels coming in from Adriatic and Croatian destinations arrive at the I S Basiliocan Terminal.

The passenger terminals provide specially designated facilities for physically disabled passengers. There are adapted toilets and all areas of the terminal buildings can be accessed by wheelchair. It is recommended that you inform you ferry company at the time of booking of you have any special needs that need to be met at the terminals.

Several ferry operators run services from the Port of Venice. The Greek company, Anek Lines provides sailings to the Greek Port of Igoumenitsa, with onward connections to Patras and Corfu available. The long sea voyage to Igoumenitsa lasts about 27 hours. From Igoumenitsa Port, the voyage takes 2 more hours to reach Corfu and then 7 more hours of sailing to reach Patras; a total travel time of 36 hours.

Minoan Lines operates the same route. The Greek shipping company provides four weekly services during the low season, increasing to six services a week during the high season. Total travel duration is about 29 hours, 30 minutes. It is recommended that you contact the ferry operator regarding up-to-date travel information, as schedules for this ferry service change frequently.

The relatively new Italian company Venezia Lines operates navigations to Rovinj, Porec, Pula and Rabac in Croatia as well as services to several other ports in Slovenia and Croatia. Ferry services to Porec and Rovinj are operational on a seasonal basis. High-speed and highly advanced catamaran ferries are used on the company's routes.

Venezia Lines provides two weekly sea voyages to Rovinj, with a travel time of 3 hours, 30 minutes. Crossings to Porec are available four times weekly, with a sailing time of about 2 hours, 45 minutes. There is just one service per week to Rabac, which lasts 4 hours. Ferries to Pula depart three times weekly, with the journey lasting approximately 2 hours, 45 minutes. The Slovenian Port of Piran can be reached by a once-a-week service. It takes the craft about 2 hours, 30 minutes to reach Piran from Venice.
