Belgium borders the North Sea and lies between France, Germany, Luxumbourg and the Netherlands. Although a relatively small country of just 30,528 sq km the capital of Belgium Brussels is the seat of the European Union and NATO.

The northern part of Belgium is called the Flanders and includes many historical cities including the magnificent Bruges, Antwerp and Ghent. Each of these and many other cities found in the Flanders have medieval squares, tree lined canals, superb architecture, museums and plenty of outdoor cafes to watch the world go by.
