Jersey may be small but it has a lot to offer. It is a great place to explore with over me 450 miles of roadway fast roads, small country lanes and 46 miles or more of Green Lanes where a speed limit of 15 mph is imposed with priority to walkers, cyclists and horse riders and there are views of the Atlantic Ocean from almost all points of the island.

Jersey has a fascinating military history and you can go back to its beginnings by visiting Mont Orgueil Castle dating back to the 13th century and the Greve de Lecq Barracks used during the 19th century, take a trip to the Jersey War Tunnels which are a permanent reminder of the German Occupation during WWII and round everything up with a visit to the islands military, museum in St. Ouen.

The island has a number of large country estates to visit, you could start with Samares Manor which dates back to Norman times and has lovely gardens and ponds. Jersey has a great reputation for its top quality lavender and a visit to the lavender farm in St. Brelade is interesting and informative. Jersey is host to some great festivals and events inlcuding a live music festival, an international air display, boat shows and flower festivals.
