The Port Of Karlskrona
The port of Karlskrona's has over 300 years of naval heritage.
It has remained fully intact over generations and is one of the few remaining naval ports in the world which is almost fully intact, this being the case, it was placed on on UNESCO's World Heritage list since 1998.
Today the whole area - the central parts of the naval town with the shipyard area, the naval base, and the surrounding defences - is a reference work for a 300-year history of fortification.
