Amsterdam Ferry Port by Car

From Amsterdam, The Hague, Haarlem or Alkmaar: From A9 take the turn off for Ijmuiden/Beverwijk A22 and turn left at the traffic lights following signs to Ijmuiden. Continue onto the N202 (the street name will change to Parkweg and then Stationsweg.

At the Pontplein junction (where you will see a sign for ferry to Velsen Noord/Beverwijk) join the Kanaaldijk (Canal Dam) with the North Sea Canal on your right. At the next junction turn left onto De Geul, go underneath the viaduct and onto Dorkweg. From Dorkweg take the first right after the petrol station onto Halkade and then ahead of you is the DFDS Seaways check in.

Amsterdam Ferry Port By Rail

The nearest railway station is Amsterdam Central Station. DFDS Seaways provide a regular return bus service from the Victoria Hotel situated opposite the station, (you will need to cross the main road and the tram lines). Buses leave to coincide with departures from Ijmuiden between 15.00 - 16.00 hours from the bus stop outside the Victoria Hotel, (corner of Damrak/Prins Hendrikkade).

There is parking available at the port but this is not a secured car park so vehicles are left at owners risk.
