Ostend Ferry Port
Ostend is located in Flanders which is Belgium's Dutch speaking part. Ostend is one of most popular and visited seaside resorts on the Belgian coast with five beaches, an esplanade and pier.
Ostend is a city with many fine restaurants, casino, hotels and attractions that include the Napolean Fort built by Napolean and the James Ensor museum.
Ostend port provides convenient access to the city. The train station is located adjacent to the ferry terminal, near the Fishermen's Quay, the promenade and the shopping centre. Facilities at Ostend Ferry Terminal include currency exchange services, tax-free shop, a left luggage facility, cafe and postal services. Outside the ferry terminal are toilets, a taxi rank and public telephones.
All areas in the terminal are wheelchair-friendly and there are designated facilities for physically disabled travellers.
There have been ferry services from Ostende to the UK since 1846 and more recently in 2004 Transeuropa Ferries started sailings between Ostend and Ramsgate for both freight and car passenger services.
Transeuropa Ferries depart from Ostend to Ramsgate from Berth 105. Transeuropa Ferries runs four daily ferry services from Ostend to Ramsgate in England.
