Three shipping companies serve Venice Port, and they provide services to port destinations in Slovenia, Greece and Croatia. The main ferry companies serving the Greek routes are Anek Lines and Minoan Lines, while navigations to ports in Croatia and Slovenia are normally run by Venezia Lines.

Venezia Lines Ferry Company

The young Italian company Venezia Lines is a high-speed ferry operator, linking the Italian nation with several Croatian destinations. This new operator runs a fleet of three high-speed catamaran ferries.

Minoan Lines is one of the most significant Greek ferry companies. During the last three decades, the operator has been developing fast. At present day, they operate and own a fleet of eight highly advanced and ultra-modern crafts. The company services the Venice-Patras route almost daily during the peak season and four times weekly in the low season. To arrive in Patras by ferry from Venice takes approximately 29 hours, 30 minutes.

The Ikarus Palace and the Ariadne Palace are the two ships which operate the Venice-Patras service. The Ariadne Palace was constructed in 2001 and can carry 1,000 passengers and has onboard spaces for 500 vehicles. The craft can reach speeds of 31.5 knots. Anek Lines Ferry Company

Anek Lines commenced operating ferry services in 1967. Today, it is one of the leading Greek shipping companies operating a fleet of 39 ships. From Venice Port, the operator runs five weekly services to the city of Patras in Greece. The travel time is approximately 36 hours.

The Kriti II, Sophokles V and the Lefka Ori are the three ships which navigate the Venice-Patras route. The Sophokles V was constructed in 1990 and was entirely refurbished in 1999. The huge vessel can transport 1,500 passengers and has room for 1,100 cars. Onboard features include a dining facility, café and bar, a disco, slot machines, telex, a casino, no smoking sections, swimming pool, video games, air-conditioning, tax-free outlet and a video games zone.

The Lefka Ori was constructed in 1992, and the entire vessel was re-fitted in 2000. Onboard facilities and technical characteristics are the same as those of the Sophokles V. The Kriti II was constructed in 1997, can carry 1,600 persons and has a 1,200-car capacity. Onboard passenger amenities are the same as those of the company's previous mentioned crafts.
