Ferry routes from Troon

There are two ferry services operated from the Port of Troon. From March to October, P&O Irish Sea Ferries navigates to Larne with a super fast, record breaking sailing time of just 1 hour, 45 minutes. SeaCat runs a route between Troon and Belfast. The duration of this voyage is 2 hours, 30 minutes.

Troon to Larne ferries

P&O Irish Sea Ferries operates daily ferry services to the Port of Larne in Ireland. The company uses the high-speed P&O Express crafts, which make the journey in 1 hour, 50 minutes.

Larne is located on Northern Ireland's north coast and is a great base from which to commence exploring Ireland's northern regions. In fact, every Irish region can be reached from Larne, as the town is excellently connected to the main road, train and bus networks. It is Northern Ireland's most active ferry port, with daily sailings from Fleetwood, Cairnryan and Troon.

Troon to Belfast ferries

SeaCat provides the Troon-Belfast route on a daily basis. It takes the vessel about 1 hour, 10 minutes to reach the city of Belfast from Troon. Travel time is short due to the vessel's fast speed of 37 knots.

Belfast Port handles more than 50 per cent of Northern Ireland's sea trade and about 25 per cent of commerce for the whole Irish island. It is the nation's main ferry port, handling over two million passengers, 450,000 cars and 340,000 cargo vehicles per annum. Currently, the Troon-Belfast service has not been re-opened yet.
