Seacat Scotland and P&O Irish Sea Ferries are the two main ferry operators running services from the Port of Troon. P&O Irish Sea Ferries provides sailings to Larne, while Seacat Scotland runs a convenient line between Troon and Belfast.

Seacat Scotland Ferry Company

Since June 1992, SeaCat Scotland has been sailing on the Irish Sea between Scotland and Northern Ireland. In 1999, SeaCat operations were extended to navigate between Troon and the capital city of Belfast.

The ferry which sails from Troon to Belfast can carry 650 persons and has a vehicle capacity for 140 cars. The craft's maximum cruising speed is 37 knots. There are guaranteed seats available for all persons, either in the craft's onboard cafés and bars or in the main cabin area.

Seacat Scotland runs one of the biggest fleets of high-speed crafts in the world from dedicated ports. Fast and efficient check-in and boarding; and high quality onboard and ashore service are offered. Travel duration of the daily sea voyage from Troon to Belfast is approximately 1 hour, 10 minutes.

P&O Irish Sea Ferries Ferry Company

P&O Irish Sea Ferries operate three ferry services between Ireland and Great Britain. Lines include Larne-Cainryan, Larne-Troon and Dublin-Liverpool. The well-established and reputed operator has a modern fleet of five passenger/car ferries. The P&O Express is the high-speed vessel which navigates between Troon and Larne.

The craft was constructed in Australia in 1998, and has been in operation with the ferry company since March 2005. The ship is able to accommodate 868 people and provide spaces for 225 cars. With a maximum cruising speed of 41 knots, the ship completes the voyage from Troon to Larne in just 1 hour, 50 minutes.

Onboard amenities feature a bar and restaurant, children's play area, a shop and on-deck accessibility for passengers who wish to enjoy the sea views.
