Port of Stornoway services

The Isle of Lewis in the Scottish Outer Hebrides is only served by the Port of Stornoway. It provides a sole link between the island and Scottish mainland.

Amenities at the ferry terminal aren't extensive; however, it is positioned in the middle of the town, so options for eating and shopping are widely available. Within walking distance of the ferry terminal you'll find co-op supermarkets and a Safeway super market, they are a good choice for all kinds of convenience products.

Caledonian MacBrayne is the sole ferry company operating from the Port of Stornoway. Their service operates between Stornoway and Ullapool on the mainland of Scotland. There are two daily return voyages and three during the high season, with the approximate duration of the crossing being 2 hours, 45 minutes. The craft operating this route is the MV Isle of Lewis and it features all basic passenger services and facilities.

Physically disabled passengers are catered for aboard the vessel by helpful staff, though travellers are recommended to notify staff of any special assistance when making their booking.
