Scrabster port provides just one passenger and car ferry service to Stromness on the Orkney Isles. This sea voyage is operated by NorthLink Ferries, with daily multiple crossings.
Scrabster to Stromness ferries
Every day here are three return crossings to Stromness from Scrabster on working days and two daily crossings on weekends. During the high season (mid-June to mid-August) sailings increase to three crossings per day on Saturdays to meet the extra travellers demand. Ships operate from early morning to night and the sailing duration is approximately 1 hour, 30 minutes.

From Stromness port it is easy to access the lively town of Stromness and, like Scrabster harbour, recently it has been significantly expanded to include a tourist centre. A minibus follows routes to Stromness, less than halve a mile to the north of the port.
