The two well-established shipping companies which operate services from the Port of Roscoff are Irish Ferries and Brittany Ferries. Irish Ferries runs two weekly services between the port in Brittany and Rosslare Port in Ireland. The ferry service between Roscoff and the Irish city of Cork is covered by the French company, Brittany Ferries.

Brittany Ferries

Eight ultra-modern cruise ferries navigate the Channel, operated by Brittany Ferries. The operator runs more than 50 per cent of the nautical traffic on the Channel, serving more than two million passengers per year. Brittany Ferries has been operating ferry services since 1972.

The gigantic and luxurious 100 million pound flagship, the Pont-Aven, sails the route between Roscoff and Cork. The new craft, launched in March 2004, features high standard facilities including comfortable accommodation options, a swimming pool, movie theatres, kids fun areas, dining options, money exchange services, an atrium offering panoramic views and a tourist information counter.

It takes the Pont-Aven approximately 13 hours to reach Cork from Roscoff. The vessel is able to carry 2,400 persons and has a vehicle capacity of 650. There are 652 available cabins onboard the ship. More information is available at: www.brittanyferries.ie.
