Ferry companies from Plymouth

Brittany Ferries is the sole company operating ferry services from the Port of Plymouth. The company offers crossings between Plymouth and Santandar in Spain and Roscoff in France. Crossings to Roscoff are daily available while crossings to Santander depart twice a week.

From Plymouth Port, Brittany Ferries provides a choice of two destinations to travel to by ferry. From mid-March until mid-November, you can make the sea voyage to Roscoff, which is a quaint seaside resort, situated in Brittany, France. The duration of the voyage is approximately six hours during the day or about eight hours overnight. There are usually up-to three daily crossings offered from Plymouth.

The second ferry service is to Santander, which is the capital of Spain's region of Cantabria. This route is all year available with a crossing time of about 20 hours, 30 minutes. The ship leaves twice weekly, on Sundays and Wednesdays.

There are two vessels that make the sea voyage to Roscoff. The Pont-Aven is a luxurious cruise ship that can accommodate up to 2,500 passengers and has space for 650 cars. On-board facilities include currency exchange service, a swimming pool, leisure area, movie theatres, eateries, several cafés, slot machines and a kids fun area.

The other craft is the Pont L'Abbé, which can transport up to 1,200 passengers and 410 vehicles. This ocean liner has two cinemas, currency exchange service, a restaurant, a gift shop, a games room, and two bars serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

The Pont-Aven also operates the route to Santander. Both liners are comfortably fitted for passenger traffic and suitable for physically disabled passengers.
