Ferry routes from Newhaven
There are two principal ferry companies serving the route to Dieppe in the French region of Normandy. Transmanche and Hoverspeed both are well established and reputed ferry operators providing three daily journeys to Dieppe.
Newhaven to Dieppe ferries
On the English Channel Hoverspeed is the chief car ferry operator. The company operates up to three high-speed services between Newhaven and Dieppe. They offer the fastest crossing as the voyage only takes two hours. Three daily crossings are provided by Transmanche Ferries. The voyage on board their vessel takes twice as long.
Dieppe is located in Normandy. The town has a quaint traditional ambience, pleasant seaside districts and plenty of historic architecture. Shopping facilities are excellent; every Saturday the lively street market takes place and is worthwhile a visit. Exploring the ancient port area is the highlight of a visit to this port town. The oldest part of Dieppe is Bout du Quai which in English means 'end of the quay'. Le Pollet can be found on a hillside looking out over the port.
