Ferry routes from Heysham
The ferry service to Douglas on the Isle of Man is the only route covered from Heysham port. The daily ferry service is run by the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company. Douglas Port is the sole ferry port on the Isle of Man linking it with the Irish mainland and the British Isles. It is positioned on the waterfront straight in the centre of the city.

During low season, there are twice-daily crossings between Heysham and Douglas, while during the summer high season, express services are added to complement the regular services. The express sailings are operated by Fastcraft vessels and the journey lasts 2 hours; while conventional ships have a crossing time of 3 hours, 30 minutes.
Port Douglas on the Isle of Man is a vital passenger ferry port, with the terminal providing conveniences such as a lounge with television, baby-changing rooms, children's play area and lavatories equipped for the disabled. For food and refreshments, there's a Little Chef Express as well as a number of vending machines and a small snack-bar.
