Ferry routes from Haugesund

There is one international route available from the Port of Haugesund in southwest Norway. Services on the Haugesund-Newcastle line operate three times weekly, run by DFDS Seaways. It takes their ferry approximately 21 hours, 30 minutes to reach Newcastle, England from Haugesund. Domestic ferry services to the ports of Bergen and Stavanger are no longer available.

Haugesund to Newcastle ferries

DFDS Seaways operates the long sea voyage between the Norwegian port of Haugesund and the English port of Tyne (Newcastle). The journey lasts about 21 hours, 30 minutes. This service is usually available three times weekly. The sailing schedule is subject to change and passengers are advised to check for accurate and up-to-date travel information, available at the DFDS Seaways official website at: www.dfds.co.uk.

The Port of Tyne (Newcastle) is situated 10 miles (16kms) east of downtown Newcastle, on the north bank of the River Tyne. The ferry terminal building is modern and operated by DFDS Seaways and Fjord Line. Amenities at the port feature covered walkways, efficient check-in areas and automated luggage handling.

Haugesund to Bergen and Stavanger ferries

Fjordline no longer operates ferry lines between Newcastle, England and Haugesund, or the domestic Haugesund-Stavanger and Haugesund-Bergen routes. Their vessel, the Fjord Norway, has been sold to the Danish company, DFDS Seaways. Currently, there is no information about when these routes might be re-opened.
