Gothenburg to Kiel ferries

Stena Line runs year-round ferry services between Gothenburg and the northern German Port of Kiel. The sailing time is approximately 13 hours and vessels depart once a day at 19:30. This well-established company offers outstanding onboard features such as movie theatres and a wide range of bars and restaurants. The crafts are capable of accommodating both cars and passengers; however, some of the ships do not cater for trucks.

Gothenburg to Kristiansand ferries

The Danish Port of Kristiansand can be accessed from Gothenburg by a service which is run by DFDS Seaways. Some services terminate at Kristiansand while others travel onwards to the city of Newcastle. During the summer months, there are two weekly services available. Every Sunday and Wednesday, the Princess of Scandinavia departs at 09:30.

The sole port in Norway with ferry links to both Sweden and Britain is Kristiansand Euro-Port Norway. Additionally, over one million people navigate to and from Denmark by ferry annually. The facility's geographical proximity to Britain, Denmark and Europe make it a pivotal gateway to Norway.

The leading Danish shipping company, DFDS Seaways, operates the fast conventional ferry - the Princess of Scandinavia - on the Gothenburg-Newcastle route. During the summer months, the operator provides two weekly crossings (every Sunday and Wednesday at 09:30), and during the low season, one weekly sailing is available. The sea voyage goes via the Port of Kristiansand, where the craft stops en-route. Total sailing time is approximately 26 hours.

The Port of Newcastle (Tyne) is situated 10 miles (16kms) east of the city centre of Newcastle, on the Tyne River's north bank. The port has modern terminals operated by DFDS Seaways and Fjord Line, which handle in excess of 700,000 passengers annually. Gothenburg to Frederikshavn ferries

During the summer, Stena Line operates up to eight daily crossings between Gothenburg and Frederikshavn. In addition, a high-speed ferry service (2 hours) is available three daily times during the summer months. There is also a fast-boat service three times daily in the summer. Ferry services commence at 07:00 and stops operating at 23:55. Onboard services are excellent, and all the operating crafts accept both vehicles and passengers; although, there are a few services which do not cater for lorries.
