Ferry routes from Dun Laoghaire

From the Port of Dun Laoghaire, there's only one ferry crossing available, to Holyhead in North Wales. Stena Line's fully equipped high-speed HSS Explorer operates the Dun Laoghaire-Holyhead route. There are daily services all year round.

Dun Laoghaire to Holyhead ferries

All year long, Stena Line offers two daily sailings to Holyhead. From January to September, the route is available three times a day on Saturdays and Sundays. The voyage on board the HSS Explorer lasts just 1 hour, 40 minutes in either direction. Facilities onboard include restaurants, cafés, entertainment areas, a movie theatre and children's play areas. The vessel can reach a maximum cruising speed of 45 knots, and can accommodate over 1,000 customers and 300 cars.

Holyhead is situated in North Wales, on the western part of the Isle of Anglesey. The town's port has sufficient facilities, and numerous ships coming from Ireland sail in to the harbour each year.
