There are three ferry companies operating services from Dover ferry port. P & O Ferries, SeaFrance and DFDS Seaways (formerly Norfolkline) who sail from Dover and between them provide 50 cross channel ferry crossings a day.

Norfolkline - DFDS Seaways

Norfolkline was taken over by DFDS Seaways in 2010 and sail from Dover to Dunkerque. Norfolkline ferry croosings take 2 hour they sail 11 times a day. Norfolkline have recently introduced three new vessels for the Dover - Dunkirk route, Delft Seaways, Dover Seaways and Dunkerque Seaways, all three built in 2005.

Those looking to eat onboard can choose either a self service option or waiter servicein their Bistro. P &O Ferries

P &O Ferries cross the channel 23 times a day from Calais taking just 90 minutes. Their fleet of 5 ferries includes their latest addition the "Spirit of Britain" which has a massive vehicle capacity, taking up to 1059 cars or 180 freight vehicles with a capacity of 1750 passengers.

Onboard facilities are excellent, with self-service eateries, a currency exchange service, video arcades for the kids, and a fine selection of outlets. P &O also provide outstanding amenities for disabled people. Those looking to dine while aboard can choose from a wide range of foods in a choice of settings on each ferry. Choose between several stylish bars for light refreshments, or a bit of retail therapy in their onboard shopping areas.

SeaFrance

SeaFrance is a subsidiary of SNCF and is the only French ferry operator on the Dover to Calais route. SeaFrance have a fleet of 3 vessels crossing the channel taking over 3,500,000 passengers each year. SeaFrance cross the channel 15 times a day from Dover taking from just 75 minutes. Their fleet includes the SeaFrance Molière their latest addition which was brought into service in 2008. However the SeaFrance Berlioz and SeaFrance Rodin both have larger capacities for both vehicles and pasengers.
