The East Cowes-Southampton route is served by the Red Falcon. The ship can accommodate 895 travelers and 200 passenger cars. The advanced and modern vessel has been in service since 1994. Another ferry sailing the East Cowes-Southampton route is the Red Eagle and, similar to the Red Falcon, it can carry 895 passengers and 200 vehicles as well. The Red Eagle has been in service since 1996.

Frequent sailings between West Cowes and Southampton are operated by the fast Red Jet Hi-Speed. Due to the vessel's maximum cruising speed of 35 knots, the trip last just 22 minutes. On board there are cold drinks available, but there aren't any toilets on the ship. You can not book the voyage in advance; you just have to be there at the right time if you wish to sail with the fast service.
