There are two ferry companies operating services from Calais ferry port and Eurotunnel providing cross channel train services from Coquelles Cedex, Calais. P & O Ferries and SeaFrance, between them provide nearly 40 ferry crossings a day.

P &O Ferries

P &O Ferries cross the channel 23 times a day from Calais taking just 90 minutes. Their fleet of 5 ferries includes their latest addition the "Spirit of Britain" which has a massive vehicle capacity, taking up to 1059 cars or 180 freight vehicles with a capacity of 1750 passengers.

All of their cross channel ferries provide a host of onboard services. These include a wide range of foods in a choice of settings on each ferry. Choose between several stylish bars for light refreshments, or a bit of retail therapy in their onboard shopping areas.

SeaFrance

SeaFrance is a subsidiary of SNCF and is the only French ferry operator on the Calais to Dover route. SeaFrance carries more than 3,500,000 passengers each year on their fleet of 4 ferries, although 1 ferry is purely for freight. SeaFrance cross the channel 15 times a day from Calais taking from just 75 minutes. Their fleet includes the SeaFrance Molière their latest addition which was brought into service in 2008. However the SeaFrance Berlioz and SeaFrance Rodin both have larger capacities for both vehicles and pasengers.

Onboard their 3 ferries there are plenty of places to eat and drink. Eurotunnel

Eurotunnel provide up to 4 departures per hour, taking just 35 minutes to cross from Calais to Dover. Getting to and from Eurotunnel is easy too with excellent motorway networks. So for those that can feel a little sea sick consider taking the train.
