Port of Caen services

Caen port is situated in Ouistreham and ranks as France's newest ferry port. The facilty is positioned just over 14.5kms/ 9miles north of the city centre. The port serves as a pivotal sea-entry to the nation and the nearby town boasts some suitable tourist amenities if you choose to stay a day or two and explore the region of Normandy and the reminders of its pivotal role during the Second World War.

At the ferry terminal you will find limited but basic amenities. These feature a currency exchange service, lavatories, public telephones and a café. A Brittany Ferries counter and tourist information are available as well. The ferry terminal can be accessed by wheelchair and wheelchairs can be arranged on request.

Brittany Ferries runs ferry services between Caen and the Port of Portsmouth in the south of England. The operator provides three daily services and has two crafts operating the route. The regular-speed craft makes the sea voyage in approximately six hours while the express service is much more rapid at just 3 hours, 45 minutes. Both ferries are sufficiently equipped with passenger amenities and are disabled friendly.
