From the port of Belfast, ferries depart to several destinations. Norfolkline Irish Sea Ferries and Stena Line offer daily routes to Liverpool and Stranraer while Isle of Man Steam Packet Company offers a twice-weekly crossing to Douglas on the Isle of Man.
Belfast to Cairnryan Ferries
Stena Line now sail from Belfast to Cairnryan in Scotland a short drive from Stranraer. There are up to six sailings daily with a crossing time of 2 hours, 15 minutes on their new superferries, Superfast VII and Superfast VIII.
Onboard facilities are excellent and you can even enjoy a sauna or jacuzzi if you remember to take your swimwear. .
Belfast to Liverpool Birkenhead Ferries
Sailings between Belfast and Liverpool Birkenhead are now operated by Stena Line, previously this route was operated by Norfolkline Irish Sea Ferries. There are 7 overnight sailings every week and five weekly daytime sailings. The sailing time between Belfast and Liverpool is approximately 10 hours.
Belfast to Stranraer Ferries
Stena Line also provides ferry crossings from Belfast to Stranraer in Scotland. There are seven sailings daily with a crossing time of 2 hours on their fast craft and 2 hours 50 minutes on their conventional ferry.
Belfast to Douglas Ferries
The Isle of Man Steam Packet Company operates the Belfast to Douglas route twice a week and the journey time is 2 hours, 55 minutes.
