Port of Bari services

Situated in the capital of the Puglia region, Bari port is one of the most pivotal facilities in the region. It provides a gateway between Italy, the Balkan and the Middle East.

Amenities at the port are sufficient and feature banks, tourist information service and a number of shops. The port also boasts a cruise terminal with a coffee shop among other dining and shopping facilities.

In the city of Bari you will find two separate harbours. The Old Port near the old city is used for little ships and fishing boats, while the New Port is used for big passenger ferries that sail to Albania and Greece. The New Port is a modern facility and caters for both short-duration and long-duration car parking.

The old city district in Bari has a rich past. The labyrinth of alleyways and streets reveal cathedrals and architecture dating back nine centuries. Bari is a city offering plenty things to do and see. Exciting night life can be found in the new city. The pleasurable climate along with the fine beaches, make it the perfect spot for sunbathers and swimmers.

Ventouris Ferries Company operates ferry services between Bari and Corfu, Durres, Cephalonia and Igoumenitsa, while Superfast Ferries runs the crossings to Corfu, Patras and Igoumenitsa.

In addition, Azzuraline provides services to Dubrovnik, Kotor and Durres, while Minoan Lines operates sea voyages to Patras. The duration of the sea voyage to Corfu is about eight hours and is only operational during the summer season. Sailings to Igoumenitsa take about 9 hours, 30 minutes and are also available during the summer months; this service also includes a link to the island of Corfu. Ferry services to Patras take 15 hours, 30 minutes, with an en-route stop at Igoumenitsa. The duration of the trip to Dubrovnik is approximately 7 hours, 30 minutes; it takes the ferry about 8 hours, 30 minutes to reach Durres from Bari and a new service to Kotor takes about nine hours. All operational vessels are equipped to accommodate physically handicapped passengers and assistance can be arranged with the ferry operators when booking.
