Ramsgate to Boulogne catamran service launch delayed again

Anyone who had been eagerly awaiting setting sail on the main voyage of the high-speed service from Ramsgate to Boulogne this Saturday will have a bit longer to wait. Per Staehr, CEO of Euroferries mysteriously announced that the Bonanza Express catamaran service, which was due to be launched on Saturday November 14th would be delayed, simply saying that it was due to; “events outside our control”.

A company spokesman later released the following statement: "Euroferries has regrettably had to delay its high speed cross channel service launch scheduled for the 14th November due to hampered final stage operations. Euroferries apologises for any inconvenience caused to its customers and assures them that it is their foremost intention to resolve this matter swiftly allowing the service to commence. All Euroferries bookings affected by this matter have the option of either receiving a full refund or alternatively receiving complimentary first class upgrades for an alternative date of travel."

This is actually the third time that the launch of the high-speed Bonanza Express catamaran has been delayed as the ferry was originally planned to set sail on March 31st. This date was first pushed back to September and then to November 14th when it came to light that the September date couldn’t be met either.

Although passengers have been assured that they will be refunded for the price of the tickets, they cannot be compensated for the disappointment or inconvenience. A new launch date for the Bonanza Express service has yet to be announced.
