Pacific Beachcomber acquires Paul Gauguin Cruises
Ferry Online Travel News 20/08/2009
Paul Gauguin Cruises has revealed it has been acquired by Pacific Beachcomber, a luxury resort sector leader.
The president and CEO of Paul Gauguin Cruises, David Giersdorf, said: “There will be no changes to the product or behind the scenes. We'll have the same team onboard and ashore.”
Anyone booked on a Paul Gauguin cruise for 2010 will not see any changes to their booking and all deals that were offered for early booking will continue to be valid. This includes the offer of 50 per cent off fares and either free or deeply-discounted air tickets.
Vantage Deluxe World Travel, the current owner of the Paul Gauguin luxury cruise line, formed Paul Gauguin Cruises early in 2009 to take over the operations of Regent Seven Seas Cruises – and the contract with the ship is concluded at the end of this year.
The new parent company of Paul Gauguin Cruises, Pacific Beachcomber, is the owner of numerous luxury resorts located in French Polynesia, such as InterContinental Le Moana Resort Bora Bora, InterContinental Resort Tahiti, InterContinental Resort & Thalasso Spa Bora Bora and InterContinental Resort and Spa Moorea.
