LD Lines

Currently LD Lines operate a daily Portsmouth to Le Havre service and an additional summer timetable of sailings from Newhaven to Le Havre.

LD Lines has been given permission to start a scheduled service from 1st July running from the Port of Dover to Boulogne. The service will be for both passengers and freight. There is currently no existing freight route from the UK and Boulogne.

The four daily crossings will take approximately one hour 45 minutes; there are no plans to offer Sunday crossings.

LD Lines will operate the first services from the new French port for cars, foot passengers and freight. The Ro Ro terminal crossings represent the beginning of services offered from the initial 35 million Euros investment in the Hub Port Boulogne development, the construction of the new port will be completed by 2010.

LD LinesFoot passengers can also use the vessel Norman Spirit, this currently runs from Portsmouth to Le Havre but will be transferred to the new Dover to Boulogne route. The ship can carry up to 1850 passengers, 700 cars and 110 freight vehicles.

All LD Lines vessels are fully equipped.
