Ferry companies from Yarmouth

There is only one company operating a ferry service from the Port of Yarmouth, Wightlink, which operates the 37 routes from Yarmouth to the small market town of Lymington on the Solent's northwest end.

Wightlink Ferry Company

Wightlink Ferries runs a round-the-clock ferry service between mainland England and the Isle of Wight. The company operates every day of the annum on three lines across the Solent and provides up to 230 daily crossings. Their fleet is the most comfortable and fastest on these waters.

The Portsmouth to Fishbourne ferry takes about 40 minutes; the Lymington to Yarmouth ferry about 30 minutes (both car and passenger services); and the Portsmouth to Ryde ferry takes approximately 18 minutes (FastCat catamaran for foot passengers).

The fastest and shortest vehicle service is between Yarmouth in West Wight and Lymington, in the New Forest. The 30-minute trip is operated by three ferries: the Cenred, Cenwulf and the Caedmon. You can relax and sit back on the concourses, which have café and bar amenities, or relax on one of the observation decks as you travel the most scenic route to Lymington.

Onboard facilities include panoramic windows, spacious lounges with comfortable seats, a bar, café, sundecks and gaming and video machines, while on some vessels, there are gift shops, dog-friendly areas, toilets and designated facilities for physically disabled passengers. For more information about Wightlink, you can email: info@wightlink.co.uk.
