Ferry routes from Patras

From the Port of Patras seven ferry companies operate services to other ports in Italy and Greece. Ancona in Italy is served by Anek Lines, Superfast Ferries, Blue Star Ferries and Minoan Lines, while the Italian Port of Brindisi is served by Hellenic Mediterranean Lines and Maritime Way. Venice Line Ferries, Blue Star Ferries and Minoan Lines operate crossings to the Port of Venice and Superfast Ferries also operates a route between Patras and Bari in Italy. Additionally, many of these sea voyages travel via the Greek ports of Corfu and Igoumenitsa and are operated daily.

Patras to Venice ferries

Three different ferry companies offer the Patras to Venice service. The fastest service is oerated by Venice Line Ferries with a sailing time of 23 hours. Minoan Ferries runs services via Corfu and Igoumenitsa with a total journey time of 27 hours, while Blue Star Ferries offers the same route with a sailing time between 27 and 35 hours.

The busy Port of Venice boasts three terminals. Passenger amenities at the port are comprehensive featuring shops, currency exchange services, cafés and public conveniences. The terminals are accessible by wheelchair and provide designated toilets for physically disabled passengers. During the busy summer months, there's the option to take advantage of fast lines linking to the Istrian and Dalmatian coasts in Croatia.

Corfu Port is positioned in Corfu Town on the island's eastern part. The facility has limited basic passenger amenities including public lavatories, a café, public telephones and a convenience store. Ferries link the port with Italian destinations and other Greek ports.

Patras to Brindisi ferries

Two ferry companies operate sailings to Brindisi, which is situated on southeast Italy's heel. Maritime Way runs a crossing by way of Igoumenitsa with a sailing time of approximately 14 hours, 30 minutes. Hellenic Mediterranean Lines provides a direct route with a crossing time of about 15 hours.

Brindisi has a well-established port facility but it is short of public amenities. Shops, restaurants and hotels can be found within walking distance of the port in the town. Various ferry companies operate out of Brindisi port, travelling to destinations throughout the Adriatic.

Patras to Bari ferries

Superfast Ferries also operates a route from Patras to the Port of Bari, which is situated to the north of Brindisi in southeast Italy. The duration of the sea voyage is about 15 hours, 30 minutes.

Traditionally Bari has been Italy's gateway to destinations in the Middle East and the Balkan. Bari port has one new and one old harbour. The new port provides excellent facilities and handles all the ferry traffic. Amenities include ATMs, tourist information point, coffee shop and a selection of outlets.

Patras to Ancona ferries

The companies which provide daily sailings to Ancona in Italy include: Blue Star Ferries and Minoan Lines via Igoumenitsa with a sailing time of 22 hours, Anek Lines also sails via Igoumenitsa with a trip duration of 22 hours, Superfast Ferries sails to Ancona within 20 hours.

Annually more than one million passengers pass through the Port of Ancona. Although the port is vast, amenities aren't extensive and only include some essential facilities, including toilets, a café and a convenience store. The port provides ferry links to the nations of the Adriatic basin, these include: Albania, Montenegro, Turkey, Greece and Croatia.

The port of Igoumenitsa is a principal tourist centre for nautical traffic arriving from Patras, Corfu and ports in Italy. The facility provides traveller conveniences and a nearby centre of the town. From the port several companies operate direct ferry services to Bari, Trieste, Venice, Ancona, and Brindisi.
