From Kapellskar port there are two ferry services to Finland which are both provided by Viking Line Ferry Company, a reputed and well established car/passenger shipping company. The busiest route is the one that goes to Mariehamn on Åland, while on mainland Finland Turku is also served.

Kapellskar to Turku ferries

From the en-route stop in Mariehamn, vessels sail on to Turku in mainland Finland. Direct ferry services between Kapellskar and Turku are only available in the summer season. The duration of the voyage is about 10 hours. Situated on mainland Finland's southwestern edge, Turku has a busy and vital port. Facilities at the port include a children's play area, ATM service and a café. Once Finland's capital, the city of Turku is highly sociable with an abundance of culture and history and boasting a pulsating nightlife.

Kapellskar to Mariehamn ferries

There are two daily services from Kapellskar port to Mariehamn which is situated on the Finnish island of Åland. The duration of the journey is approximately 2 hours, 30 minutes. Mariehamn's port resides on Åland Island's southwest and amenities feature toilets, a taxi stand, restaurant and a bar. The town of Mariehamn is very close the port and boasts a selection of outlets and dining establishments, as well as a tourist information centre and money exchange service. Nearly 1.5 million visitors a year come to Åland, most of them arriving at the Western Harbour by ferry.
