DFDS Seaways has two operational crafts on the Ijmuiden-Newcastle route. There are daily overnight sailings in either direction. Both vessels are conventional, well equipped ferries.
Departure times are; 17:30 from Newcastle and 18:00 from Ijmuiden, with ships arriving at their destinations at 09:30 next morning (Ijmuiden) and 09:00 (Newcastle).
The Queen of Scandinavia and King of Scandinavia are both new ships in the fleet and make the sea voyage to and from Ijmuiden. Onboard passenger amenities are outstanding and include bars and restaurants, conference and business amenities, relaxing passenger lounges and a range of shops.
