Port of Gothenburg services
Gothenburg Port is situated on the west coast of Sweden and is Scandinavia's most spacious facility of its kind. It is positioned within the city limits of the second largest city in the nation. Arriving by ferry, passengers will pass the waterfront attractions including remarkable views of the city centre.
The cruising and passenger terminal which was opened recently can be found on the River Göta, situated across from the city centre. Passenger facilities at the ferry terminal feature a snack-bar, a café, a comfortable passenger waiting lounge and a car parking facility.
Reputed for its wonderful Baroque architecture from the 19th century, this young European cosmopolitan city has plenty to offer visitors. The majority of the attractions can be found either near the port, or nearby the Avenyn, which is both a verdant city avenue and a chief landmark.
Ferry companies operate from the Port of Gothenburg to destinations in the UK, Norway, Germany and Denmark. Train and bus services are available to significant cities. The Gothenburg City Airport can be found within the city municipality.

Stena Line runs services from Gothenburg Port to Frederikshavn, in Denmark, and to the Port of Kiel, in Germany. DFDS Seaways provides a passenger/freight ferry service to Newcastle, in England and operates a once weekly sailing to the Danish Port of Kristiansand. The ferry to Newcastle also stops at the Port of Kristiansand en-route.
All the vessels which operate from Gothenburg Port provide sufficient amenities for the physically disabled. The ferry terminal building is accessible by wheelchair. Dedicated toilets for physically handicapped persons are available, while staff will happily assist those with disabilities; but, the ferry company should be notified when booking the ticket.
