P&O ferry company are urging people to travel to Belgium
Belgium might not be everyone’s first thought when choosing a holiday destination, but P&O are trying to change that. This week has seen the launch of a big campaign for the ferry company in which they urge their customers to visit the land of chocolate, waffles and other culinary delights.
P&O recently launched a new line, taking passengers from Hull to Zeebrugge, which is located in northern Belgium. While this is the most direct way of reaching Belgium by ferry, those living close to Dover can still make use of the familiar Dover to Calais route, driving across France to get to Belgium.
The new Hull to Zeebrugge line means that it is possible to visit Belgium for a weekend as the journey takes just a few minutes. With the annual and ever popular Antwerp Pride festival and the Ommegang Pageant in Brussels on the horizon, P&O are keen to get people thinking about travel to Belgium. It is predicted that the ferry company will be launching a number of great deals over the coming months to further entice.
So what clever slogan are P&O using to tempt customers across the water to Belgium? This time they have gone for the simple approach with "often forgotten, but always alluring".
